The excitement of LA Yarn Crawl is still in the air. We have seen so many Knitters and Crocheters and it feeds our fiber souls. This week we bring a sweater designed by Pope Vergara aptly named Thunder Road. I can’t top Pope’s description, so I’ll quote her directly
“Thunder Road is inspired by the magic and melancholy of the song of the same name, this pattern captures the spirit of a relaxed journey filled with texture. Designed to envelop you in comfort, Thunder Road is knit with three strands of mohair intertwined like the stories we leave along the way. The design features cables, a symbol of connection and movement, while a gentle color gradient marks the transition to new horizons. The construction begins with a provisional cast-on, allowing you to knit it seamlessly from top to bottom. “
We chose our lush Sesia Vivienne, Silk Mohair and it works up on size 10 needles. If you love cables interest and yummy feel, then don’t miss out on this one. The pattern is included in the kit and enough yarn to work the piece a bit longer if you choose.
