Ringing out the old year, we looked back to where it all began, our pattern archives, and rediscovered a beloved sweater design by Anny Blatt. Though the company no longer exists, the design’s beauty and relevance endure. With Old Into New, we’ve thoughtfully refreshed this classic for today’s wardrobe.
The sweater is knit in Sesia Sissi, a soft rayon yarn kissed with subtle sparkle, giving the piece movement, drape, and quiet glamour. Worked on size 6 needles, the design begins with grounding ribbing before flowing into an easy diagonal stitch pattern. Increases from the ribbing create a relaxed dolman sleeve shape, offering comfort, elegance, and room to move.
