"Frill Thrill"

The spring equinox arrives this week. We are ready for the change of season and the joy it brings. We’ve been sitting on this design for a couple of months waiting for the perfect yarn and it has arrived. Lana Grossa’s Terra, a blend of cotton and linen has the perfect structure to bring this sketch to life. Worked on size 5 needles this easy dropped shoulder sweater has a simple smock stitch at the bottom and then a relaxed rolled neck. The remainder is knit in stocking stitch.  The yarn has a bit of texture which adds all the interest necessary.  The ruffle is knit separate and sews on, so you can add it or not. The sweater stands just as well without it, but we love the frill of it. L’Atelier Exclusive pattern included.
