Memorial Day is a time of remembrance and gratefulness for those who have served and fallen for our country. It is a weekend that officially kicks off summer with barbecues and family gatherings. We wish you and your loved ones a few moments to enjoy what those who have proceeded us have provided.
We look back a few years to a great piece, Drama Queen. This over the top poncho serves from winter through fall depending on how you combine the occasion with your wardrobe. We love it over a tank for summer, a short slinky dress for holiday, and a yummy cashmere turtleneck in the fall. We chose Sesia’s Sissi a 95% rayon/viscose and 5 % metallic for the main color, worked in a Pointed Chevron Pattern and size 8 needles. The drama continues as we shoot sections of Artyarns Beaded Silk & Sequins Light to add a bit more spectacle with a delightful lace pattern. We gave it long fringe, but it is equally good with shorter fringe, or none at all. Your choice or course. The pattern is included in the kit.
